Gabriel decided to try out the Moon Walk exhibit at the SEE Science Center last week for all of 10 seconds... luckily a friend got this shot of him since he wouldn't hang around long enough for me to grab my camera. Maybe next time he'll try it for longer... (Mom photoshopped the helper dude out as he was ruining the shot!)
Now he wants this $50 astronaut costume we saw online plus the $40 helmet that goes with it. :P Think we'll go the homemade route!
Then we tried out the preschool program "Weasel Ways" at the Audubon C
enter yesterday. Much to Gabriel's dismay, we didn't get to see one live weasel all morning. We did, however, get to traipse through the woods looking for laminated paper weasels (see right)! The kids were told to NOT pick up the weasels but just "count them in their heads"! What?? Once Gabriel was done "hearing that lady" he decided to leave the group and forge ahead only to be dragged back by the teacher and reprimanded. That's the first and last time I let that happen!
Anyway, we did manage some good times playing by the water (not teacher recommended of course) and running through the fields. Simone was content tagging along...

Oooo! The Moon walk looks cool! I am hoping they bring the dinosaur exhibit back soon. Last time I went Max was terrified and would not go in the room!
