Thursday morning had me up at the a$$crack of dawn to make it to Concord by 8:30 so we could march from a friend's house on Main Street down to the state house several blocks away. Somehow we pulled it off despite the freezing cold and oodles of small children needing to be layered in full winter gear topped off with a "Vote NO" t-shirt squeezed over everything and all while stuffing their mouths with donuts.
I thought the turnout was great considering we only organized ourselves barely a week prior.
Word spread fast and lots of people we never met before showed up complete with their own signs.
One of our very own LEAP founders gave the press a talking to.
And mini-Michelin men helped to support the cause.
However despite our best efforts and cutest monkeys, the bill passed. Our work has just begun.
