Suri's a Mom!

The biggest surprise I got coming back from VA was that Suri had two babies! Well, not SO surprising since she and Peter (our free range rabbit) had a field day 28 days prior. But still, exciting news other than the fact that we, the irresponsible, non-spaying/neutering pet owners, are culprits of adding to the over population of unwanted bunnies in this world. But I digress. Just look at these sweet balls of fluffy goodness!!!Pete, one of the best bunny-daddy's that I know, has stayed faithful to his new family by standing (or sitting) guard outside Suri's cage day after day... He has yet to meet his wee bun's and probably never will (lest he knock up his daughters, egads!) but boy, that rabbit ought to be commended for his unwavering vigilance. Now brace yourself, these kits are undeniably the cutest things you have seen in a long time. I actually speak in an uncontrollable high pitched voice when I see them and talk out loud even when no one is around because they are so freakin' cute!! This is "Blackie" aptly named by my oh so original daughter. He/she is about 2 weeks old here. Eyes are open, ears are tiny and nose is practically non-existent. But cute as a button!!Everyone's favorite is "Po" (KungFu Panda anyone?). I can't help it. I love this bunny and I want to keep it. Of course, I want it to stay this small and cute. Dangerous territory this is. I feel it in my blood that rabbit breeding is the way to go. If only the demand would warrant the ready supply...
